Pour aller à Santo Antão, il faut passer par Lisbonne, Praia et Mindelo : ça se mérite !
(d'autant que nous avons dû dormir dans la salle d'attente de Praia)
To reach Santo Antão from Paris, you have to fly through Lisbon, Praia and Mindelo : a fairly long trip
(specially when you have to spend the night in the Praia airport's waiting room)

De notre hôtel à Mindelo (le Residencial Jenny), la vue n'est pas désagréable ! Et il fait bien chaud...
From our hotel room in Mindelo (the Residencial Jenny), the view is rather nice ! And the temperature is quite comfortable

Ensuite, il faut traverser en bateau pour aller à Santo Antão.
Fort heureusement, la mer était très calme ce jour-là (il parait qu'il n'en est pas toujours ainsi...).
Then, you have to go to Santo Antão by boat.
Fortunately, the sea was very quiet on that day (it seems this is not always the case...)

Un assez court trajet en taxi, et nous arrivons au paradis !
L'Aldeia Jerôme, à Vila das Pombas, au bas de la vallée de Paúl.
A rather short taxi trip, and you reach paradise !

Tout au bout de l'île, la petite ville de Ponta do Sol est un autre paradis, les pieds dans la mer. On y mange un excellent poisson !

Mais nous y avons eu très chaud...

At the very end of the island, the little town of Ponta do Sol is another paradise, with its feet in the ocean. The fish is excellent !

Conclusion : Santo Antão est superbe, les paysages magnifiques, les habitants très accueillants.
Un peu chaud à notre goût... mais bon...

Un dernier conseil : attention aux centipèdes ! Leur morsure est fort désagréable !

A last recommendation : beware of the centipedes ! Their bite is quite nasty !
